40 Days and 40 Nights

The rain just doesn't stop, so we're working on about 40 straight right now. There's a dune around here called Mount Ararat. That was where Noah was supposed to have finally hit land after the great flood. Looks like the new one might come in handy. We'll all be looking for high ground soon.

But the plants love it. At least I think they do. The weeds are certainly making the most of it.

And the snails. Here's one climbing a day lily.

The biped is making the most of it, too. He's been digging and planting and buying and spreading the manure around, if you know what I mean.

Here are some hollyhocks.

Here they are planted!

The daylilies are about to explode with flowers--if the sun will ever come out.

The biped also got pinks and asters and is getting ever closer to a maximum density of plantings in our little garden. It will all pay off later when real summer arrives.

In the meantime, these vicious plastic bags showed up outside our door and they won't leave. I swear, I've been barking at them repeatedly, charging them, snarling, barking again at the top of my lungs. They won't budge! I HATE plastic bags!!!!

We did have about three hours of sun a couple days ago. So the biped and I went to the beach with his friend Jon. It was a gorgeous day. I haven't panted like this since we were in Palm Springs!

And I want to send some special thoughts to Marge, who I hear is having surgery. Godspeed, Marge, I want you back where I can lick you very soon!! XOXO

Hi Clovis

We are really sorry we did not see
you on our visit to Ptown. As we see from your blog you were out of
town. We looked for you everyday.
We had a great time on the cape as always despite the weather. Give the biped our congratulations on his masters degree. Keep blogging
about Provincetown, a place we love.
Check out our blog as we will be doing some Ptown post over the next few days.

Hope to see you next time.

I am a California native transplanted to the East Coast and have grown to accept both the snowy weather of winter and the hard-bitten attitudes of New Englanders. Since I moved here in October of 2006, I think I've become something of a native, although the locals will always call me a "bark-ashore". If you have any questions, just ask!
