Sunrise, Sunset

It's Carnival time!!! And this year, that apparently means sky-high humidity, unseasonably warm days and sweaty, sweaty nights. The biped and I did a little sun-to-sun viewing. Not intentionally, but because neither of us could sleep, so we got to see the sun go down past Herring Cove....

...and come up over Truro.

Beautiful colors, but sleep would have been nice, too.

We found some fun things on our sunrise beach walk, too.

Horseshoe crabs....

Beach roses....

Little snails on the rocks...

And in true Mardi Gras fashion, we have a hurricane headed our way. We spent some time in the garden enjoying the flowers.

Like those hollyhocks!!

'Cause we know that when this storm blows through, there won't be much left.... :(

I'll report back after the washout!

Who?

My photo
Provincetown, Massachusetts, United States
I am a California native transplanted to the East Coast and have grown to accept both the snowy weather of winter and the hard-bitten attitudes of New Englanders. Since I moved here in October of 2006, I think I've become something of a native, although the locals will always call me a "bark-ashore". If you have any questions, just ask!
