Helluva Town

The biped and I spent the last weekend in New York City. I told him to pack the camera, but of course he forgot. If it isn't right in front of him, he just walks away.

That said, it was a busy and traumatic weekend for us both. While he went to go see Liza at the Palace....

I was stuck in the fleabag Hotel Chelsea, where even the bedbugs are skeeved out. Seriously, the carpet was so filthy, I wouldn't even pee on it.

Then, it was like some sort of crazy baby tour. Everywhere we went, there were babies. Babies, babies and more babies. Grace, Lyla, Talia, Ryan, Bee. And as tough as it is for me to admit this, I am not a big fan of babies. In fact, they scare the hell out of me.

And the biped checked out a couple galleries that were showing work from Ptown artists. The Babcock Gallery is showing a group of E. Ambrose Webster paintings from the 1913-1916 period.

And Elspeth Halvorson has some beautiful box constructions at the Hollis Taggart Callery.

Now we're safely arrived back in Ptown where we were welcomed by this beautiful sunset tonight.

And there's word of a snowstorm tomorrow. It's going to be a fun weekend. On tap are: the Worst Christmas Party Ever III, Peter Donnelly at the Post Office, some shindig at the Ptown Theater and on Sunday, All About Christmas Eve by the Gold Dust Orphans. That should be plenty for the holidays.

Provincetown, Massachusetts, United States
I am a California native transplanted to the East Coast and have grown to accept both the snowy weather of winter and the hard-bitten attitudes of New Englanders. Since I moved here in October of 2006, I think I've become something of a native, although the locals will always call me a "bark-ashore". If you have any questions, just ask!
